Obituary for Annie Carr Johnson

Annie Carr  Johnson
Ms. Annie Lee Johnson was born to the union of Napoleon and Mary Ann  Carr on June 3, 1934, in Grapeland, Texas.  She was the 6th child born of 8 children. Ms. Annie attended and graduated from W.R. Banks High School in Grapeland, Texas. She later moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she met and married her husband Marvin Johnson. Ms. Annie was blessed to have six children, three girls and three boys. Ms. Annie was employed by Hill Regional Hospital for over 32 years. During this employment she received many awards and recognitions for her dedication and exemplary work ethics. Mrs. Annie retired in 2000 after her health began to decline. She was a God fearing woman who loved the Lord. She served faithfully as a member of Wade Chapel AME church in Hillsboro, Texas. She served as a Stewardess until September 13, 2008, when she was consummated by Bishop G.M. Ingram to Deaconess. There she remained faithful to the call of the Lord until her health no longer allowed. Ms. Annie lived a full and blessed life, where she was always surrounded by her family and friends until the Lord completed her journey on June 7, 2014.  She is preceded in death by her loving parents Napoleon and Mary Ann Carr; two brothers, Thomas and Leo Carr: two sisters, Genora Green and Erma Dora; and two children Bobby Johnson and Stella Jordan. She leaves to cherish her precious memories:  two sons, Marvin Johnson Jr. and Stephen Bruce Carr(Monica) of Orlando, FL.; two daughters, Annie Marie Taylor(Melvin) of Louisville, KY and Eleanora Crosby(Leroy) of Hillsboro, TX.; one brother, Willie Joe Carr(Renee') of Browns Mills, NJ; two sisters, Flora Gibson of Elkhart, TX., and Doris Washington of Lubbock, TX.; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and one special friend Evelyn Benson.
