Vance D. Kellum, 89, of Temple, TX, came to his final resting place on March 3, 2023 with family by his side after a long battle with end stage lung disease.

Vance was born on March 17, 1933 to Ezra and Lettie Kellum in Tupelo,Mississippi. Vance was raised in Hillsboro, Texas.

Vance received his honorable discharged from the United States Army on September 19, 1953. Soon after Vance met and married the love of his life, Johnnie Ruth Brown, they had four children together. Vance Ray, Connie Sue, Robert Lee, and Pamela Kay.

Vance was predeceased by his parents, Ezra and Lettie Kellum; his wife, Johnny Ruth and his siblings Mary Lou Faulkner, Bruce Kellum and Billy Joe Kellum.

Vance is survived by his five children;
Vance R. Kellum (wife, Lisa) of Hillsboro, TX,
Pamela K. Williams (husband, Heinz) of Murchison, TX.,
Robert L. Kellum (wife, LeighAnn) of Hillsboro, TX;
Connie S. Grant (husband, Jon) of Gonic, NH.; and Kyle Kellum (wife, Jen) of Dubois, PA.
And, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all of our family and friends for their prayers and support as well as Baylor Scott and White Temple, TX. Hospice Team for their compassionate care during Vance’s short stay.
