Obituary for Ron Soulliere

Ronald Glenn Soulliere, 68, of Aquilla passed away on January 18, 2021 at home after a 14-month battle with cancer. Due to COVID, a memorial service is not planned at this time. Ronnie was born July 22, 1952 in Eckerman, Michigan to Clifford and Winnie Soulliere. He grew up in South Haven, Michigan and was a 1970 graduate of South Haven High School.

In 1979 he moved to Houston, Texas where he met the love of his life, Barbara Aydlett and they had forty-one wonderful years together. Ronnie loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He and Barbara made many trips in their 5th wheel. He was a carpenter by trade and owned Delta V Services remodeling and repair business. He had a big heart and loved meeting people. He was a 10-year member of the Hillsboro Lions Club and was very active in both the club’s and District’s Lions activities. He especially loved the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. He and Barbara made several trips each year to the camp.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers Dean McCulligh and Alan Soulliere.
Surviving him besides his wife, Barbara, are his sisters Carol Miedona (John) of South Haven, Michigan and Marlene Plaia (Gary) of Katy, Texas; sister-in-law Carol McCulligh of Irons, Michigan; step son Bruce Aydlett of Austin, Texas; step daughter Kristin Foster (Ralph) of San Antonio, Texas; step grandchildren Eliana Foster and Ralph Foster; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara would like to say a special thank you to Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center and Hospice and all the wonderful caregivers, especially his Hospice nurse Amber.
