Obituary for Randy Burch

Randy Glenn Burch, 64, passed away on March 1, 2024, of kidney cancer. He is survived by his wife Deann; his parents Priscilla and Ivan Burch; his sister Kathy Cullen and husband Andy; in-laws Leslie and Amy Ware; nieces and neph- ews Hannah, Jack, Melissa, Bryan, Elias, Orlin, and Arabella; and great nieces and nephew Addison Grace, Emmeline, and Robert.

A native Texan, Randy was born in Ft. Worth and raised in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Lamar High School, then attended Baylor University. After graduating from Baylor, he earned his CPA and began his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell, one of the Big Eight. Over the course of his career, he worked as an auditor, a stockbroker, a CFO, a Certified Valuation Analyst, a Certified Fraud Examiner, a litigation consultant, and a forensic accountant.

He retired from Alix Partners in 2014. His parents introduced Randy to the joys of road trips as a child, and his love for travel and adventure stayed with him throughout his life. While in college, he spent a summer at the University of Hawaii and learned to surf. He enjoyed cycling and was proud to have completed the Hotter’N Heck 100 mile road race. After retirement, pickleball became his
passion and he and Deann could often be found together on the courts.

A private burial will take place at the Flying W Ranch.
