Obituary for Randal Paul Schoenewolf

Randal Paul Schoenewolf was born October 7, 1952, to Wanda and Edward Schoenewolf in Gatesville, Texas. He entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2022. Randy grew up in Gatesville. He was athletic, playing many sports. He excelled at football in high school and went on to play at the University of Houston. Though he played at the University of Houston, he graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in accounting. Randy made his long term career in oil field sales. He proudly served his country in the National Guard from 1972 through 1977.

Randy was fun, loving, witty, and generous. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. Loved by so many, they gave him numerous nicknames, Granddaddy, Grand, Dad, Hon, Bro, and Randyliscious to name a few; he answered to them all. Always ready to have fun, he was up for almost anything. Randy enjoyed hunting, snow skiing, water skiing, country music, and dancing. He loved a good vacation and parties on the patio. He looked forward to visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards and camping or spending time at the lake or on a beach. Most of all he loved making memories with the ones he loved – his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother Wanda Faye Schoenewolf; father Edward Schoenewolf; sister Suzanne Schoenewolf; and former wife Cheryl Frances Schoenewolf.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Cheryl Lynette Schoenewolf; brother Reginald Schoenewolf; daughters Shelby Briggs and husband Chad, Stacy Cook and husband Marvin, Steely Bray and husband Robert; and grandchildren Tatum Briggs, Reece Briggs, Gentry Briggs, Morgan Martin, Miller Cook, Judson Cook, Belton Armstrong, Barron Armstrong and Ellisyn Bray.
