Obituary for Leonard Walker

Leonard Walker was born January 11, 1954 in Bay City, Texas to Robert and Earline Walker. He passed away on October 3, 2021 in Waco, Texas. He was 67 years 8 months, and 22 days old. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tammy Walker of Itascsa, 2 daughters Sherry Casey and husband Frank, Candace Stockhousen and fiancé Jeff Vaffer, 2 step-sons Grant Walker and fiancé Tamryn, Johnny Willis and wife Danette, 7 grandchildren Dustin Casey, Colton Warford, Aryanna Willis, Glendon Willis, Phoneix Walker, Zackrey Walker, Aiden Walker, 1 great-grandson Carson Willis, brother in law Paul Runnels and wife Angela, many nieces and nephews, and the mother of his girls Carolyn Rice, all of his Republic family of 32 years of employment.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Robert and Earlline Walker, five brothers Robert, Johnny, Galen, Butch, and Charles, 2 sisters Lola Martin and Nelda Holamen.

Leonard was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Leonard worked for Republic Waste from September 1989 until his death. He earned many awards for being a safe driver and driver of the year. Leonard was nominated for top ten driver of the year nationwide by thre National Truck Driver Association.

Funeral Services will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
