Darlene K. Harris, 91, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, May 4th, at Homestead Nursing Home. She was born May 25,1930, in Iowa Park, Texas to Edgar and Pauline (Langford) Corbett.
She attended schools in Achille and Hendrix Oklahoma. Darlene worked at A & P Grocery as a cashier and Schepps Wholesale Grocery as a secretary to A. G. Schepps in Dallas for many years. She moved to Hillsboro, Texas in 1990.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands Johnny McCluskey, Leonard Baker and Al Harris; her sisters, Cora Belle Ray, Ora Lea Holder, her daughter Brenda King. Darlene is survived by her daughter, Cindy Rogers of Hillsboro TX; step-daughter Carol Hollifield of Minco, OK; her sister Jo Dudley of Garland; and several half sisters and brothers; grandchildren Chris Rogers and Clint Rogers both of Hillsboro; Mike Wragg of Lindale; Rick Wragg of Rockwall; Tammi Geren of Mansfield; Dena Hollifield Bryant of Mustang, OK; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Thanks to Homestead Nursing Home staff for her care in the last few years and also thank you to Community Health Care of Texas/Providence Hospice. There are no services planned.
