Obituary for Ida Mae Ward
Ida Mae Stigall (Wilkins) Ward passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 in Hillsboro, Texas. Ida Mae was born August 22, 1936 in Bedford, Indiana to Sam Wils and Eva Mae (Haynes) Stigall. She married Richard F. Wilkins August 17, 1955 and they were married until his death October 4, 2015.
Ida married Johnny Lee Ward of Hillsboro, Texas on December 23, 2016 and lived her remaining years loved and adored by him. Ida’s nickname was Tinkerbell, and she loved every shade of green, all white flowers, and felines, especially white tigers.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Dawn Goddard (Richard) of Peoria, Texas, Guy Wilkins (Sharon) of Davison, Michigan; Tracy Wilder (Richard) of Whitney, Texas; and Jay Wilkins (Karan) of Jacksonville, Florida; brother Sam Stigall (Cecilia), niece Nicole Dillard and nephew Sol Stigall of Arlington, Texas; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
