Obituary for Homer Leon Johnson Sr.

JOHNSON, Homer Leon, age 82 formerly of Dallas passed away Saturday, November 27th 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.
Leon as he went by, was born January 12th 1939 to Grady Laursen Johnson and Pearl Victoria Johnson. John William McKenzie and Pearl Victoria Johnson got married and raised Leon after the unfortunate passing of Grady while Leon was still a toddler.
Leon was a tradesman his whole life like his Dad John which included being a carpenter, auto-mechanic and roofer to name a few. He married the love of his life Beverley Sue Wiley and during their beautiful and long marriage they had five wonderful kids.
He was a good hearted soul who was quick to help anyone in need any way he could. Leon as many would know had an immeasurable faith and a powerful connection with God. He was role model in the most influential ways... a husband, a father, a grandfather and friend.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents John and Pearl McKenzie, father Grady, sisters Betty, Billie and Bobbie, his brothers Ben and Elmer, wife Beverley, daughter Bobbie and son Jr. Leon is survived by his brothers Jimmy and John McKenzie, sister Lynette Portnoy, children Vickie Gonzales and husband Mike, Jo Coburn and husband Dwayne, Bill Johnson and wife Tracey, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
