Obituary for Don Crain
Don L. Crain passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, in Hillsboro, Texas. He was born to W.B. and Ruth (Fry) Crain on March 3, 1940, in Urbana, Illinois.
Don had a football scholarship to University of Illinois but left college to join the Navy with a friend. A “man’s man,” he loved fishing, occasional dove hunting and donuts. After leaving the Navy, he worked in the oilfield industry for Stewart and Stevenson for most of his career.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother David and an aunt.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Crain, two nieces and several cousins.
