Obituary for Dennis M Conant
Dennis Murphy Conant, 72, passed away at his home near Whitney on December 13, 2021. He was born on August 9, 1949 to parents Eugene Murphy and Anita Larae Conant in Hayward, California.
He met and married Debbie Jean Bloyed on May 2, 1980 in Hillsboro, Texas. They had three children.
He is survived by wife Debbie Conant of Whitney; daughter Christina Yocham “Tugboat” and husband Gary, daughter April Robertson “Grape Ape” and husband Billy, son Patric Conant “Pitter Pat”; six grandchildren—Dalton, Layton, Emily, Madilyn, Gauge, Cora and one on the way ”Hudson”; sister Samra Mendez and husband Rene of Kaufman, Susan Copper and husband Jerry of Cody Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Newman, grandson Grayson Charles Robertson as well as his mother-in-law Doris Bloyed and father-in-law Clifton Bloyed.
Dennis traveled overseas with Bechtel Company working in Saudi Arabia and Puerto Rico. He also traveled with Led Zeppelin setting up concerts in the 1960’s. He loved to gamble and be with his family.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He loved his kids and grandbabies so very much.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday December 17, 2021 at 1 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
