Obituary for Clyde L. Harris, Jr.

Clyde Lea Harris Jr. of Hillsboro, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Waco, Texas. He was born on December 5, 1941 to Clyde Lea Harris Sr. and Rose Dale Harris.

Clyde was born in Ennis, but grew up in Wolfe City and Dallas, Texas. He attended Kimball High School in Dallas and worked for Dealer's Art Supply for 20+ years, achieving the position of Warehouse Manager. His life took him through various careers, but they always brought him around new people and places. He retired from Baylor Book Store in Waco in 2003. He had many passions - his family, trains, the outdoors, lighthouses, music, and cameras. He loved photographing scenery, old buildings, his family, his beloved pets, and anything that caught his eye. No matter who he met, he had of way of making them smile as if they had known each other for years.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents Clyde Lea Harris Sr. and Rose Dale Harris, and his youngest brother Thomas Earl Harris. He is survived by two brothers - Jack Harris and wife Betty of Cedar Hill and Larry Harris and wife Becky of Waxahachie, two sisters - Jeannie Bond of Granbury and Sharon Fee and husband Gary of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, his wife Stephanie Harris of Hillsboro, his son Darrell Harris and wife Angela of Arlington, and two grandchildren - Victoria Harris and Robert Harris both of Arlington, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as all the friends he made during his journeys.
